mom is leaving for 3 months in Zurich,
and i made a salad with what i had laying around:
market heirlooms, parmigiano shavings, dragon tongue beans (chopped & seared
in bacon fat), raw walnuts, cracked black pepper and a good balsamic drizzle.

more importantly,
my new best friend.
( n e v e r ) ,
have i experienced such ridiculous pleasure
during the act of slicing something (anything!) with a knife.
time in the kitchen instantly revolutionized.
ps. this is today.
august will be magical. oh what adventures will we encounter? endless moments of bliss ahead...
